USA Network's Suits: Why I Love Suits
Get Litt Up With Suits
I just recently started watching Suits and I love it. I caught up with all the episodes from the first three seasons on Amazon Prime. I recommend you do the same. Seeing the show from the beginning will help you fully appreciate the progression of the characters and their relationships.
Now, I'm enjoying the fourth season. It comes on Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m. CST on the USA Network. There's a lot to like about Suits but here are a few things.
4 Reasons I Love Suits - ... And You Will Too!
- The characters. Of course everyone loves Mike, Rachel, Donna and Harvey. But let's not forget about Louis Litt. Litt, played by Rick Hoffman, is hilarious. He provides such comic relief even during some serious topics. He's a classic underdog who always messes up in his efforts to win Harvey's respect and admiration. But still every week I can't wait to see who will get Litt up by Louis.
- The relationships. One of the things I look for when I'm watching a television series is realistic relationships between the characters. Suits excels in this area. These are my three favorite relationships.
Mike & Rachel. I like this television couple because they have great chemistry. They know each other's secrets and faults and they still make their relationship work.
Donna & Rachel. It's rare to find a friendship like this between women on tv. Donna is not only a good friend to Rachel but she also gives great advice. Donna's a shoulder and an ear for Rachel.
Donna & Harvey. Harvey needs Donna; she is the only person who Harvey trusts completely. Everybody needs someone like that in their life - someone who tells them the truth even when it hurts.
- The story lines. The writers give us unique and fun story lines on Suits. My favorite genre of shows is police/legal procedure shows, so I've seen a lot of story lines. These ideas are fresh and keep me coming back.
- The writing. Similar to how Shonda Rhimes uses non-linear flashbacks on Scandal, Suits utilizes this method very effectively. In addition to this unique method of story telling, The writing is smart and funny.
